Christmas in July – Carols of Christmas

Who doesn’t enjoy a little holiday cheer in July! I love the holiday season and I’m so excited that the new Stampin’ Up Holiday catalog will be available soon.

For this month’s blog we decided to showcase the new “Carols of Christmas” bundle. I saw many beautiful cards made by other demonstrators using this stamp set but I wanted to create a card that would be unique and use the amazing frame making die in the Card Front Builder Thinlit die set that is part of the bundle.

See what you think…

I selected one of the Be Merry designer papers that has small white stars on a cherry cobbler background.I knew I wanted to highlight the frame making die so I decided to cut it out of Whisper White paper.I cut a piece of Whisper White paper 4″ by 3″ and put the paper through my big shot twice using the frame making die at either end of the paper.

Then I attached the paper to a 4.25″ by 3.25″ piece of gold foil paper. The gold foil shows through the paper and makes the design stand out. I think it also gives a little elegance to the card. I decided to use the “Peace on Earth” stamped in cherry cobbler and carefully centered it on the paper. The last step was to color 4 pearls with my cherry cobbler marker and place them in the four corners of the card.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Then please check out the other amazing cards from other demonstrators below.

Happy Stampin!
